Maximising Peak Performance
Producing H2O day in, day out requires hard work. To sustain the peak performance and enhance the lifespan of your Bio Pure water purification system, you need regular service to check the water purity, identify clogging or damage to the RO membrane, system pump and purification system.
Timely change of filters
Frequency of change depends on household size, filter lifespan and water quality. Your unit may require more frequent servicing if your household has many members or the water supply to your area is very dirty.
Original and genuine filters & parts
Cheap counterfeit parts promoted by unauthorised technicians are often made up of used filters or filters containing recycled materials which will leak into drinking water or worse, damage the RO pump. Elken Service is the sole authorised agent that provides original and genuine filters and parts for Bio Pure.
Service Warranty
Limited warranty on spare parts and workmanship is provided by Elken Service. Talk to us if you have any queries.
Timely filter replacement. Longer system lifespan.
Regular Maintenance
Each Bio Pure filter is uniquely designed with different mediums and/or components to remove certain sizes and categories of contaminants. In order to maximize the efficiency of the different filters at the lowest cost, regular servicing is recommended. This also helps to protect and prolong the lifespan of the more expensive components in your water purification system.
Filter | Recommended Period | Consequences of Overdue Filter Replacement |
Pre-Sediment Filter | 3 months (DIY) | Filter gets clogged & water flow reduces. Eventually, the reduced water flow will overheat the system and damage the RO pump. |
Sediment Filter | 6 – 12 months | |
Activated Carbon Pre-Filter | 6 – 12 months | Carbon filters remove chlorine in water. When the filter becomes saturated, chlorine can flow into the RO membrane and damage it. |
R.O. Membrane | 18 – 36 months | Contaminants will leak into drinking water and affect water purity. The RO pump is also forced to work harder and may become irreparably damaged over time. |
Activated Carbon Pre-Filter | 18 – 36 months | Water may have a stale or strange aftertaste and no longer tastes fresh or ‘sweet’. |
* This is only a recommendation. The actual replacement time will depend on the quality of the feed water, usage and maintenance of pre-sediment filter.
** New Bio Pure units enjoy 1-year warranty on parts and an extra 1-year warranty when the unit is serviced by Elken Service within the 1st year of purchase. (applicable to Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei only)Simple Troubleshooting Tips
